On 13 July 2016, Terrapin Agrada sponsored a Pecha Kucha event at WeWork (Moorgate) in London. Over 100 people came to watch the specatcular!

The idea was to present 8 different topics about project management without drowning the audience in lengthy speeches that drone on and on. The solution was Pecha Kucha – a lightning fast presentation style that limits each Presenter to 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide (on a timer). That leaves 6 minutes and 40 seconds to get straight to the message, yet be engaging.

The result was a lot of FUN! Not only for the Presenters who got to try out something completely new and different, but for the audience, as well. Everyone got a taster of some really diverse and really interesting insights into numerous aspects of Project Management. All in just over an hour!

Highlights from the evening included Richard Caton’s insights into the cognitive biases that affect the way we manage projects, Louise Blyth’s critical lessons that can be learned from failed projects, Ranjit Sidhu’s correlation between successful projects and effective communication, Susan Tuttle’s advice to Project Managers of small projects and Joe French’s ‘sneaky’ way of explaining Agile Project Management, as if his life depended on it!
