So, I was recently in a hand-over meeting with the current Project Manager who was leaving the organisation. It was my first day on the project and his last. He really did do his best to debrief me on what the project was about. He used words like âstraightforwardâ and âstreamlinedâ. But I questioned him on this. It didnât quite match up with my understanding of the project, which seemed pretty complex to me. How could it be both so straightforward and yet so multifaceted?
He claimed it was him, not the project. The problem was that he wasnât very good at explaining it. HE THEN LITERALLY SAID, âThe guy before him said that the guy before him was really good at describing this project.â
What was shocking, is that he didnât see a problem with this!
What?!?!?!?
If only⦠if only someone (preferably that guy before the guy before this guy) had written something (ANYTHING!) down.
I vote to PID!
